Lizzy Morgan

My name is Lizzy and I’m a language and literature lover. I’ve been working in the pharmaceutical industry as an engineer and now project manager for the last ten years since completing my Bachelors’ degrees (in Math and English) at UC Davis. Since then I have been writing poetry, taking photos, and playing soccer all around SF and the world. While studying Yoga, eastern philosophy (primarily Theravada Buddhism), body-work and trauma physiology. Through this program I am interested in learning to rigorously apply some of the philosophy listed above and that most interests me within the realm of literature (Foucault, Derrida, Cixous, Arendt, ethics, reader-response) to the literature and authors that I love: Roberto Bolano, Anais Nin, and Margaret Atwood to name a few. Maybe after I retire from corporate I will use my Master’s to teach at a Junior College and Yoga on the side or pursue a PhD.
