CWL Student Laine Barriga's Presentation at UC Berkley

Comparative and World Literature student Laine Barriga presented their paper titled, “Monuments of Memory: Langston Hughes, Aimé Césaire, and the Archive of Emmett Till,” at the Comparative Literature Undergraduate Research Symposium at UC Berkeley last weekend.
Laine also has exciting news to share:
"I am thrilled to announce that I will be starting a PhD program in English at UCLA starting this fall! I purposely applied to this program because they encourage work in languages in addition to English. I am hoping that my background in Comparative and World Literature will contribute meaningfully and methodologically to my incoming cohort. I’m glad that I will be able to continue doing comparative work in graduate school."
Congratulations, Laine!
