Dr. Peña-Guzmán received his Ph.D. in Philosophy from Emory University in 2015. He works on animal studies, the history and philosophy of science, continental philosophy, and theories of consciousness. He is the author of When Animals Dream: The Hidden World of Animal Consciousness, co-author of Chimpanzee Rights: The Philosophers’ Brief, and co-host of the philosophy podcast Overthink. His work has been covered by The New York Times, CNN, ABC, The Atlantic, Le Parisian, El País, and Forbes, among others.
